Urban Heat Islands in Dubai: Vegetation Coverage, Building Density, and Surface Temperature Correlations

Abstract

Using satellite thermal imaging and municipal planning data, this thesis maps the relationship between green space distribution, urban density, and localized temperature increases across Dubai's districts. It proposes evidence-based greening interventions prioritized by heat vulnerability index.
